The Toronto Convention Committee is excited to announce that SABR 35 will convene August 4-7 at Holiday Inn on King in Toronto. The last time SABR held its annual convention outside the United States, baseball was on strike, world champion figure skater Scott Hamilton was competing in the National Sports Festival in Syracuse, New York, Beth Daniel had the first round lead at the Women’s US Open, and Kenny Stabler retired from the Houston Oilers. It was July 1981 and 97 members and 50 guests came to the Erindale Campus of the University of Toronto for the 10th annual gathering of SABR members. In 2005, we hope the have more than four times as many members in attendance, and the world-class city of Toronto makes for a wonderful opportunity to bring spouses and families.
